Prof. Dr. Rui Aguiar<\/a>, Campus Universit\u00e1rio de Aveiro, Portugal<\/td>		Rui L. Aguiar<\/strong> received his degree in telecommunication engineering in 1990 and his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 2001 from the University of Aveiro. He is currently a Full Professor at the University of Aveiro, responsible for the networking area, and has been previously an adjunct professor at the INI, Carnegie Mellon University. He is a Visiting Research Scholar at Universidade Federal de Uberl\u00e2ndia, Brazil. He is coordinating a research line nationwide in Instituto de Telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es, on the area of Networks and Multimedia. He is leading the Technological Platform on Connected Communities, a regional cross-disciplinary industry-oriented activity on smart environments. His current research interests are centred on the implementation of advanced wireless networks and systems, with special emphasis on 5G networks and the Future Internet. He has more than 450 published papers in those areas, including standardization contributions to IEEE and IETF. He has served as technical and general chair of several conferences, from IEEE, ACM and IFIP, and is regularly invited for keynotes on 5G and Future Internet networks. He sits on the TPC of all major IEEE ComSoc conferences. He has extensive participation in national and international projects, of which the best example is his position as Chief Architect of the IST Daidalos project, and has extensive participation in industry technology transfer actions. He is currently associated with the 5G PPP Infrastructure Association and is the current Chair of the steering board of the Networld2020 ETP. He is a chartered engineer, senior member of IEEE, Portugal ComSoc Chapter Chair, and a member of ACM. He is associated editor of Wiley\u2019s ETT, Springers\u2019 Wireless Networks and of the recently launched Elsevier\u2019s ICT Express.<\/td><\/tr>

Prof. Dr. Cem Ersoy<\/a>, Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University, Turkey<\/td>		Cem Ersoy<\/strong> received the BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1984 and 1986, respectively. He worked as a R&D engineer in NETAS A.S., Istanbul, between 1984 and 1986. He received the PhD in electrical engineering from Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, NY, in 1992. Since then, he has been a Professor of computer engineering and the leader of the Wireless Sensor Networks Research Group at Bogazici University. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, activity recognition and ambient sensing for healthcare, urban and participatory sensing with smartphones, green networking and smart grid communications. Dr. Ersoy is the Chairman of the IEEE Communications Society Turkish Chapter. He is a senior member of the IEEE.<\/td><\/tr>

Prof.Dr. Erol <\/a>Gelenbe<\/a>, Imperial College, UK<\/td>		Erol Gelenbe<\/strong> was born in Turkey and received his PhD in the USA. During 1973-93, he was a Research Director at INRIA where he founded the performance modelling and evaluation groups in France. He also influenced the creation of research groups throughout Europe, and held professorships at the Universities of Liege (Belgium), Paris-Sud (Orsay) and Paris V.  He has invented new mathematical models, such as the Random Neural Network and G-Network, and contributed to practical developments such as the SYCOMORE Voice-packet switch, the XANTHOS fibre-optics local area network, the QNAP and FLEXSIM simulation\/modelling packages, the C2Agents Decision Tool and the CPN machine learning based packet routing algorithm. He has held chaired professorships at New Jersey Institute of Technology, Duke University, University of Central Florida, and is currently the \u201cDennis Gabor Professor\u201d at Imperial College. He graduated over 74 PhDs, including 17 women, and 47 of his former PhD students work in Europe. Elected Fellow of ACM and IEEE, his awards include Chevalier de la Legion d\u2019honneur, Officier du Merite, Commendatore al Merito (IT), Grand Prix France Telecom (French Academy of Sciences), ACM SIGMETRICS Life-Time Achievement Award, Denis Gabor Award (Hungarian Academy of Sciences), Oliver Lodge Medal (IET, UK), and three \u201cdoctorates honoris causa\u201d. He was elected Fellow of the National Academy of Technologies of France, the Royal Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters of Belgium, and the Science Academies of Hungary, Poland and Turkey.<\/td><\/tr>

Prof. Dr. Halim Yan\u0131k\u00f6mero\u011flu<\/a>, Carleton University, Canada
<\/td>		Halim Yanikomeroglu (FIEEE, FEIC, FCAE) was born in Giresun, Turkey. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 1990, and the M.A.Sc. degree in electrical engineering (now ECE) and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada, in 1992 and 1998, respectively. During 1993\u20131994, he was with the R&D Group of Marconi Kominikasyon A.S., Ankara, Turkey. Since 1998 he has been with the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, where he is now a Full Professor. His research interests cover many aspects of wireless communications systems and networks. Dr. Yanikomeroglu has supervised 26 PhD and 28 MASc students<\/a> (all completed with theses); several of his PhD students received the Carleton University Senate Medal for Outstanding Doctoral Thesis. He has coauthored ~450 peer-reviewed research papers<\/a> including ~175 published in the IEEE journals; these publications have received ~16,000 citations (Google Scholar<\/a>). He has given a high number of tutorials and invited seminars on wireless technologies in the leading international conferences (130 seminars\/tutorials<\/a> since 2012). Dr. Yanikomeroglu\u2019s collaborative research with industry (including the leading players in the ICT domain) resulted in 37 granted patents<\/a>.  Dr. Yanikomeroglu is a Fellow of the IEEE with the citation \u201cfor contributions to wireless access architectures in cellular networks\u201d, a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE). He is a Distinguished Speaker for the IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society on 5G\/6G wireless technologies. He has been involved in the organization of the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) from its inception in 1998 in various capacities including serving as a Executive Committee member and the Technical Program Chair or Co-Chair of WCNC 2004<\/a> (Atlanta), WCNC 2008<\/a> (Las Vegas), and WCNC 2014<\/a> (Istanbul); currently, he is serving as the Chair of the WCNC Steering Board (2019-2021). He was the General Co-Chair of the IEEE 72nd<\/sup> Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC 2010-Fall<\/a>) held in Ottawa, and the General Chair of the IEEE 86th<\/sup> Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC 2017-Fall<\/a>) held in Toronto. He has served in the editorial boards of the IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, and IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials. He was the Chair of the IEEE\u2019s Technical Committee on Personal Communications (now called Wireless Communications Technical Committee with 1,500+ members).  Dr. Yanikomeroglu is a recipient of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Stuart Meyer Memorial Award in 2020 and IEEE Communications Society Wireless Communications Technical Committee Recognition Award in 2018. He is also a recipient of the IEEE Ottawa Section Outstanding Service Award in 2018, the IEEE Ottawa Section Outstanding Educator Award in 2014, Carleton University Faculty Graduate Mentoring Award in 2010, the Carleton University Graduate Students Association Excellence Award in Graduate Teaching in 2010, and the Carleton University Research Achievement Award in 2009 and 2018. Dr. Yanikomeroglu spent the 2011\u20132012 academic year at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Ankara, Turkey, as a Visiting Professor. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada.
